PETG
Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol

Stronger than PLA, easier than ABS, beautifully clear, and food-safe capable. PETG is the most versatile engineering filament available.

The material that does it all

PETG occupies the sweet spot between beginner-friendly and engineering-capable. It's chemically resistant, slightly flexible, and offers exceptional layer adhesion — making it one of the mechanically strongest FDM materials.

PETG is food-safe when printed correctly — no paints, coatings, or porous surfaces in contact with food. Used for water bottles, food containers, and medical prototype housings.

Best use cases

  • Mechanical parts requiring slight flex and snap resistance
  • Water-resistant enclosures and outdoor fixtures
  • Food-contact applications with appropriate finishing
  • Clear or translucent optical-quality parts
  • Medical prototype housings requiring chemical resistance
